VKV AMERICAN HOSPITAL, EXTENSION PROJECT- PHASE II
This project was for the development of the 130-Bed Private Kent Hospital in Izmir. The hospital brief revolved around a General Hospital to accommodate General Patient Floors (approximately 100 beds); cardiovascular surgery, general surgery & coronary intensive care units (21 beds); neonatal intensive care unit; operating theatre department (6 rooms); angiography suite; radiographic suite; clinical laboratory; IVF centre; polyclinics department; emergency department; physical therapy department; central sterilization unit; dietary department; laundry; and other staff and facility support services.
Services provided
Departmental Program:
Arranging meetings with the Client in order to
understand service needs.
Schedule of Accommodations:
Based upon the available Departmental Program, to
determine those rooms necessary to complete all departments, the quantity of each type of room and associated square meter requirements.
Assist The Architectural Team:
Working closely with the Architectural Team in development of Concept, Preliminary and Detailed Design drawings, giving special emphasis on flow paths and services interrelationships.
Medical Apparatus Layouts:
Selected in accordance with our standard equipment database wherein the exercise of Space Planning is begun in detail, wherein each item of medical equipment and furniture is shown in its designated room.
Coordinate with the Client:
To coordinate with the client in order to obtain final approval of overall design; departmental design; individual room design and space planning; and medical equipment package selection.
Provide on-site control and coordination:
Providing on-site control and coordination in way of mechanical and electrical services provision and location within each room.
